Replace damaged original wood plinths of Beogram 4000, 4002, 4004 and 6000 with a precision CNC machined solid wood frame. Get a frame for DIY or let the Beolover do it for you! The picture shows a new walnut plinth with corner splines in the 4000c style.

Beogram 4002/4 DC Platter Motor Restorations

  • Most Beogram 4002 and 4004 with DC platter motors develop RPM fluctuations due to dry motor bearings.
  • The motor bearings are oil infused porous Oilite bearings that loose their oil filling over time.
  • Once empty, the oil film ruptures and the shaft encounters bouts of enhanced friction, which causes RPM changes.
  • Beolover offers restoration services for such motors. Turnaround is usually 2-3 weeks.
  • This service includes a report on the Beolover blog with a 24 hrs RPM stability measurement.
